Emergency Officer roles and responsibilities
The Emergency Officer Guide contains information relevant to staff of Parliamentarians or anyone employed under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (MOP(S) Act) and how it may be used for matters in the context of their employment.

All workers, including parliamentarians and MOP(S) Act employees, have a duty to take reasonable care that their behaviour does not affect their own health and safety, or that of other persons.

MOP(S) Act employees in Health and Safety Representative, WHS Site Officer, First Aid Officer, and Emergency Officer roles are provided with ongoing training to support them to fulfil their responsibilities and obligations to effectively perform in that role.
