Emergency Response Management (ERM)
All offices provided under the Parliamentary Business Resources Act 2017 (PBR Act) must participate in annual Emergency Response Management (ERM) audits conducted by the contracted service provider which is currently Marsh Pty Ltd.
ERM Services include maintaining evacuation diagrams; emergency response procedures and training of Emergency Officers in alignment with Fire Safety Regulations to ensure, as much as is practicable, the safety of staff within the office.
The nominated Emergency Officer has the responsibility to help schedule and facilitate these emergency management activities as a matter of priority to assist in the event of an emergency.
Report incidents and hazards
All work-related incidents and hazards must be reported by:
- call the WHS team
- email the WHS team
- the self-service portal Skytrust
- call Marsh on 1300 418 288.
If in doubt, report.
Some serious work-related incidents are notifiable under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and must be reported to Comcare immediately.
