Facilitated conversation
This factsheet provides Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 MOP(S) Act staff with guidance on how to have facilitated conversations, mediation processes, the role faciliators and how it may be used for matters that arise in the context of their employment in a Commonwealth Parliamentary workplace.

Section
All people who work in Commonwealth parliamentary workplaces, past and present, have access to confidential, trauma-aware conflict resolution, support and assistance through the PWSS, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. MoP(S) Act staff and parliamentarians also have access to an employee assistance provider.

The PWSS HR team provides human resource information and advice, including in relation to onboarding staff, appropriate duties, performance, management, office restructures and ceasing employment.

It contains email templates, sample conversation starters and how it may be relevant in the context of their employeement in a Commonwealth parliamentary office.
